First of all. What is the first thing that comes to mind, when you think of LOVE?

For me the first thing that pops into my head is, Gods command that he gives to us.

John 15:12; My command is this; Love each other as I have Loved you!

Or 1 Corinthians 13:4-5; Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

I feel like the second one, i hear every time i go to a wedding. But why do i not hear it every time time i go to church?

For as 1 Peter 4:8 says, Above all,Love each other deeply,, because Love covers over a multitude of sins.

When I think of that verse, i think that Paul is writing and telling the Corinthians. If you Love which other deeply, that will push away a lot of the things of the world that, try to come and create a wedge between people, churches, families, marriages, etc.

So the question is. What is true Love?  Is true Love only something that you can have for your significant other?

John 15:13; Greater Love has no one then this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

First thing that comes to my mind is this, there’s definitely people i would lay my life down for. I would lay it down for, my family, my second family (GAP C), and definitely for me third family, (GAP I).

But there is definitely people in my past that when they get mentioned, the first thing out of my mouth is; there’s no way i can every Love that person. WHICH IS NOT CHIRST-LIKE IN THE SLIGHTEST!

““You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

??Matthew? ?5:43-48?

Read that again!! Isn’t it so convicting?

How many times have we said that we don’t Love someone, and try to push them under the rug? But here we see Jesus telling us to Pray for them! Don’t just push them away from your life, we are told to PRAY FOR THEM!

He also tells us that if we just Love the people that Love us, isn’t that as bad as the pagans, or the tax collectors?

So the question is; Do you just Love the people that Love you? Or maybe the people that always agree with you? Do you Love the people that do not believe in the same religion as you?

How Christ-like are we actually being?

John 14:15; “if you Love me, YOU WILL keep my commandments.

Romans 12:2; Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by TESTING you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable, and perfect.

1 Peter 4:1; therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourself also with the same attitude, because whoever suffered in the body is done with sin.

So we are be like Christ. We need to SUFFER,LOVE, BE MERCIFUL,AND FULL OF GRACE.

JUST LIKE JESUS WAS!!!

One more verse; 1 Peter 1:16, it is written”Be Holy, because i am Holy.

So how do we take the mindset of the world, where Love is an action to a person.

Flip that and make Love, A LIFESTYLE.
